Boosters Catalog - No-Risk, Ongoing Marketing

The Boost Catalog marketing option became available at the beginning of October and since its launch, hundreds of merchants have opted into this simple, no-risk marketing program with most seeing increased visibility and more sales. Now that MoreCommerce offers multiple ways to market products, you as merchants have questions.

Here is what we've heard from you:

Is Boost Catalog really no risk?

Yes, the marketing fee is a percentage of your GMV and is only charged when an order is placed. If the customer cancels the order, we refund the market charge. Boost Catalog fees are only charged if the referred traffic is the result of marketing. Any orders placed without marketing support are not charged a marketing fee.

What if I am promoting one or more of my products in a Boost Product or Event campaign, will I be paying both fees?

No, the MoreCommerce distribution platform is built to recognize when boosted products are in Boost Product or Boost Event campaigns. The system will automatically revert the margin on that product to your base level during the life of the Boost Product or Boost Event campaign. This ensures that you are not over-paying for the promotion when you double up your marketing efforts.

Do I need to turn off Boost Catalog while I am on vacation?

No, you can keep your products in the Boost Catalog campaign while on vacation without risk. Since you won't be converting any sales while on vacation, you won't be charged anything for Boost Catalog while you are away. However, when you come back, the data will still be available to allow you to most quickly regain momentum.

Where are my products being promoted for Boost Catalog?

Boost Catalog improves your visibility across all marketplaces where your products already qualify and raises the visibility because of the higher product score. This means if you are on OpenSky or Groupon already, as examples, you continue to be featured in more visible placements. Boost Catalog also ensure your visibility in ongoing Search and Social marketing campaigns.

How long does it take to start seeing results?

For most merchants' products, visibility increases within one-three weeks. It may seem like a long time, but competing with millions of products requires time for new products to be elevated. If you want to speed up higher visibility for your top selling products, you can add them to a Boost Product Campaign for a week or two to add selling history to your product data.
